Lead the Charge

Driving Action & Readiness Through Active Leadership

While our general membership meets bi-monthly for high-level updates, Sonoma County COAD Committees are where the hands-on work takes place. Our committees bring together non-profit leaders, subject matter experts, and dedicated community partners to shape countywide disaster response protocols, train local teams, and ensure no community is left behind during a crisis.

Active Committees & Working Groups

Operations & Logistics Committee

Coordinates shelter support, emergency supply chains, food distribution frameworks, and asset mapping. This committee acts as the direct operational bridge to the Sonoma County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during active disasters.

Training & Capacity Building Committee

Focuses on organizational readiness across member agencies. Responsible for hosting Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) workshops, cross-agency disaster simulations, and volunteer leadership trainings.

Community Outreach & Equitable Access Committee

Ensures disaster preparedness and emergency communications reach all Sonoma County residents. Focuses on language access, vulnerable population advocacy, and distributing culturally relevant resources.
